Economic sustainability implies that the management of a community’s resources is stable and diverse, where goods and services are produced, distributed, and consumed by workers of all skill levels and the economy is comprised primarily of locally-owned businesses.
The 3 E’s of sustainability demonstrate the interdependence of a community’s economy, social equities, and environment, where the economy exists within a society, and both the economy and the society exist within the environment.
